To be honest, we forgot to check our activity right away this morning because we went out and did a bit of shopping before the roads and stores got too crazy. Once we got back home, we opened it up to find:
This is an activity we have actually done every Christmas since Client One was a baby. In previous years, she did not participate as much in the actual making of the chain. This year, however, she did a good deal of the work. I cut out the strips of paper (she could have done this fairly well, but it would have taken her forever) and she looped them together and helped me tape them together. We made a decently long chain and she had fun placing it on the tree. She was very proud of her creation.
Client One went off to spend the night with her Nanny and Poppy tonight and I forgot to have her choose a book before she left. They stuck with the Christmas book theme at bedtime and read her a Twelve Days of Christmas book but I wanted to make sure a book still got unwrapped. I spend a long time wrapping all those suckers and by George they were all going to get unwrapped in a timely manner! Since Client Two is usually already in bed when the book gets chosen, he often misses out on the nightly story. So, we decided that tonight he could choose the book. The book he chose was Richard Scarry's Best Christmas Book Ever! Richard Scarry is classic and fun. This book is actually an assortment of Christmas stories and activities which makes it a wonderful Christmas treat. Client Two absolutely loved the book and was enthralled by the fun pictures.
And that ends the sixth day of our Christmas fun! I can honestly say this is one of the best Christmases ever!
